Food and Wine Matching Masterclass (Oxford)
Do you want to learn which foods to match with which wines to get the best flavour combinations? Then join us in central Oxford for our Food and Wine Matching Masterclass.
This relaxed, informal evening is an opportunity to explore classic combinations and more, as well as discussing the guiding principles behind successfully matching food with wine. We’ll taste 7 different delicious foods with 7 different wines from around the world, to understand how a good pairing can complement both. Among the combinations will be goats cheese with Sauvignon Blanc and Parma ham with red Barbera, and we will finish off with something sweet with a luscious dessert wine.
We'll also talk about the grape varieties and about the building blocks of wine; acidity, alcohol, tannin and sweetness and the affect these have on food. We will explain some of the factors that combine to make the wines taste the way they do, and you'll pick up plenty of tips that you can put to good use at your next dinner party!
Our Food and Wine events make a perfect present for the foodie in your life. If you would like to book this evening as a GIFT for someone then just let us know by reply to the confirmation email which you will receive and we can send you a gift voucher (email or post) for you to present to the recipient - easy!
