4 Week New World tour (Oxford)
Join us over 4 evenings as we learn how to taste wine like professionals and explore the major New World wine regions.
This course will give you the knowledge to choose better wines from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, the USA and South Africa.
Please Note: There is an additional charge (in addition to the course deposit of £60) of £10 per evening (this works out at £25.00 per evening, usual cost if you booked on a single evening is £25 to £32.50 per evening).
This course is a terrific chance to try a wide range of wines, discover new favourites and understand the unique contribution to wine made by different New World countries.
This discovery tour of the New World wines and regions will:
- introduce you to well-established and new grape varieties
- explain how the way wine is made influences flavour
- help you understand common wine faults and what to do about them
- give you the keys to interpret wine labels
The course programme (all Tuesdays 7-9pm and IF YOU NEED TO SKIP ANY we can credit you so you can pick them up when they repeat or use your credit for any other tasting):
27th February - New World I - Australia & New Zealand
6th March - New World II - Chile & Argentina
13th March - New World III - USA & South Africa
20th March - Champagne and Sparkling Wines from around the world, incl UK!
Professional ISO tasting glasses and comprehensive tasting notes provided.
