Do you love chocolate? (stupid question!) Do you love wine? (you wouldn’t be reading this if you didn’t!)…SO, the answer is, you simply MUST come along to our special Chocolate and Wine evening!
Are you thinking wine doesn’t go with chocolate? Think again - there are many amazing styles of wine that can stand up to dark chocolate and a few to accompany milk chocolate as well! But you don’t want to get it wrong: chocolate can make wine taste drying and thin and sometimes tannins in wine can react badly with chocolate.
The solution to matching wine and chocolate is simply to combine the right wine with the right chocolate, both in their taste and in their intensities of flavour – and this is where you join in! Our range of 6 different wines will include:
• Argentinian Malbec - famously good with bitter, dark chocolate
• Tawny Port - a “fruit and nut” of a wine - perfect with sweeter milk chocolate
• Maury from southern France, a delicate version of Port, versatile with dark chocolate
• PX Sherry - like alcoholic liquid raisins! Great with chocolate puddings or cake…

You will taste 7 different chocolates from lusciously sweet white chocolate all the way up to intensely bitter 99% cocoa solids chocolate. As you try the combinations, we’ll take your vote to decide which matches work best for you - this is guaranteed to be a lively evening!
And to round it off, did someone mention cake? We’ll finish off pairing a wine with a slice of delicious, home-made chocolate cake…perfect!
